Notes and Summary

• During a review of staffing rosters, it was determined that the facility is not meeting the 1:48 officer to inmate ratio at all times as required by minimum jail standards.
• During a walkthrough of the facility, this inspector observed areas requiring
  maintenance. The following areas were identified:
  Detox 1 – Sink button covers missing
  N – Large bolt protruding from shower panel; shower needing cleaning
  M – Shower needing cleaning
  Q – Mirrors missing, sink #1 no cold water, sink #2 no hot water, both sinks missing button covers
  P – Sink #1 has a slow drain, sink #2 low water pressure on hot water
  H – Low water pressure on the shower, empty electrical box missing plate cover
  X – No hot water in the sink
  FF – Uncovered electrical outlet with exposed wiring, toilet leaking at base
  W – Entire shower panel loose & being held in my two screws
  302 – Toilet not working
• During a review of inmate grievances, it was determined that jail staff are not providing a 15 day interim response on every grievance as required by minimum jail standards.
• While reviewing inmate recreation logs, it was determined that staff are not offering recreation for one (1) hour at least three (3) days a week as required by minimum jail standards.
