2 inmates in custody had not received a classification reassessment within 90 days, in accordance with minimum standards. One inmate had not received a reassessment since November 2023.
The Dickens County operational plan for Classification states that a monthly audit of the classification system will be conducted. Documentation provided and reviewed during the inspection showed that audits of the classification system were not conducted for the last month of 2023 and the first 5 months of 2024.
Mental Disabilities/Suicide Prevention: training was not conducted for 3 of 4 jailers, during calendar year 2023.
